Well. You found us.
I honestly wasn't sure you would. The last time I tried to hang a banner pointing people toward one of our shows, it accidentally redirected a funeral procession, and we ended up playing a three-hour set for mourners who were too polite to leave. Honestly? Best crowd we ever had. Very attentive. Didn't throw a single thing.
But here you are — welcome to the official fan site of the Mythic Sons, the greatest band of traveling bards, scoundrels, and "misunderstood musical visionaries" this side of the Shattered Realms. (That last part is what I call us. The others have some opinions about that. Noted. Moving on.)
If you're new here, let me tell you what you're in for. We used to play music that moved people — sometimes to tears, sometimes to dancing, once memorably to a full-scale tavern brawl that, I maintain to this day, was technically a form of interpretive performance. The magistrate disagreed. The magistrate is wrong.
We've played fire festivals and dungeon antechambers. We've performed for kings who yawned and beggars who wept. We once accidentally opened a minor rift to the Feywild during an encore, and look — that's a long story and we've all agreed not to talk about it publicly, so forget I said that.
What I can tell you is this: if you've made your way to this little corner of the realm, you've got taste. Strange taste, possibly questionable judgment, but taste. And that means you're one of us now. A Mythic Son. (Or Daughter. Or One. Or Offspring of Indeterminate Cosmic Origin — we welcome all here.)
Stick around. Check the tour board for where we're rolling into next (if we can get the band back together?). Read the tales. Learn the lore. Find out which songs Becket wrote. Which ONE Brad wrote (it's genuinely not hard to tell), and which ones I wrote during impromptu inspiration, and which ones I wrote at the bottom of a very bad decision involving a goblin wager and some experimental alchemical ale. (Hint: more of the second one than I'll ever admit in public.)
The road is long. The nights are weird. The harmonies are occasionally in the wrong key but always in the right spirit.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
See you out there —
Xac. Bard. Wanderer. Voice of the Mythic Sons. Occasional accidental rift-opener.
